About The Role
Millions of people use 3blocks' AI literacy and interaction platforms — and this number is increasing every day. That means millions of people trust us to deliver fast, reliable, and secure AI-powered experiences, and we value this more than anything. We want to keep earning trust, while also continuing to amaze our users with the AI tools they can understand and leverage through 3blocks. This is where you come in — to help us forge a performant and reliable path forward to the future of human-AI interaction.
What You'll Achieve:
Help build robust, powerful, and developer-friendly APIs and platforms that enable the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into user-friendly interfaces.
Work with the team to develop new backend features for our AI education and interaction platforms. For example, you might design and implement a new system for how our AI models interact with user data securely.
Understand both user and AI system pain points, addressing them in the backend architectures you design and implement.
Improve the performance and reliability of our AI processing pipelines and API endpoints.
Collaborate with our AI researchers to implement and scale new AI models and algorithms.
What We're Looking For:
Thoughtful problem-solving: You can decompose complex AI-related problems and work towards clean solutions, either independently or with teammates.
Scalability experience: You have experience scaling production software to support rapid growth, particularly in AI-intensive applications.
AI and machine learning knowledge: Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience in implementing and deploying AI models.
Pragmatic and business-oriented: You balance technical excellence with business impact, understanding the tradeoffs between advanced AI capabilities and practical implementation.
User-first mindset: You consider the ethical implications of AI technologies and prioritize user privacy and security in your designs.
Adaptability with technologies: You're comfortable learning and working with various AI frameworks and tools as needed.
Empathetic communication: You can explain complex AI concepts and technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
Team player: You enjoy collaborating across functions to achieve shared goals in our mission to enhance AI literacy and interaction.
Bonus Points:
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision systems.
Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible AI development practices.
Proficiency with our tech stack: Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Node.js, Redis, Postgres, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for AI deployment.
Interest in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) and its application in AI systems.
Awareness of pioneering work in AI and computing, understanding its influence on modern AI development.
